We are a Microbrewery based in the picturesque village of Bow Brickhill, near Woburn, on the Buckinghamshire / Bedfordshire border.
Head brewer, Ryan Horne, has always had a passion for real ales and craft beer and has devoted time and effort learning about traditional brewing techniques and perfecting recipes using only quality, natural ingredients.
Having gained these skills we decided to take the ‘goat by the horns’ and brew our efforts for a wider audience to enjoy. After much planning and hard work our 6 Barrel Brewery was installed in early March 2015 and brewing in Bow Brickhill finally commenced.
A dark, rich, complex body with a smooth smokiness and delicate hop additions. Six malts including the famous Bamberg Beech Wood Smoked Malt and two US hops varieties make this Smoked Porter the perfect seasonal beer to enjoy by the fireside. Black Antler was inspired by the gathering deer at nearby Woburn Abbey as the seasons change from autumn to winter and the sun lowers forming silhouettes of the herd. Black Antler will be brewed as a seasonal beer for autumn and winter.
